"I The Foolish Bride" is based on a folk song made popular by Maro Tarkhnishvili (1891-1969). The lyrics describe the torment of a newlywed woman who was kicked out of a household by her mother-in-law in the first person. In the given work, the title is generalized, but the bride in question refers to a star-crossed couple from local history, where a woman was unmentioned by her name by official historians. The birch tree juice poured into the objects symbolizes breast milk and the place of her death. The ceramic pieces were made during the residency at Weltkunstzimmer in Düsseldorf and later exhibited as part of a group show "Songs Die As Soon As They Are Forgotten" curated by Anissa Touati at Gallery Artbeat. Here, they are placed on the built-in shelf in the exhibition space, which, with the gesture, becomes even more intimate. Altogether, visitors perceive entering the gallery as stepping into the living quarters of a close person.
