Accessories for Luxury Vision (Beadings of Lapsed Places) is a series of works in which I use found materials from specific places and assemble them to represent connected narratives on display. In the given work "Accessories for Luxury Vision (Mirror, Braid, Zilfi) in a Body Bag" I use a body bag acquired from the Red Cross and with found materials, I alter them to create a piece, which offers an alternate take on antique tombs or jewelry pieces as seen in the museum spaces. The second piece "Accessories for Luxury Vision (Pool Necklace)" consists of glass and ceramic tiles, found in a former pool near my district. The word carrier, as to experiences, memories of the past, collective knowledge, emotional connections, and in this instance, a place where we can never swim again, led me to a visual form of the work, that is jewelry or an accessory.
